The mane event...
This was sold to me as a cover for a downpipe on guttering. However, the only example I've seen at auction describes it as a water fountain head
Either way, its little piece of history and a striking item.
Made by Ellison & Wilds and with the patent number on it, this is a real talking point piece. Imagine it with a tap coming out in your bathroom above a glazed stoneware or concrete basin! Or just prop up for display either inside or out
