Antique gilded stock standing on a tortoise with entwined snake
A rare 19th Century after Ferdinand Barbedienne Grand Tour Gilded bronze colour desk/paper Weight, depicting a Stork standing on top of a Tortoise and seen holding an entwined Snake which is wrapped around the Storks leg
Would originally have been on a marble base which would have made a bit less wobbly - does stand but topples over if not balanced correctly
